This alpha-gal-friendly cranberry sauce is a must-have for your next Thanksgiving dinner. It only contains three ingredients, and the sugar can be substituted to avoid alpha-gal triggers. You can substitute the sugar with cane sugar, honey, or whatever works for you.

Don’t just use it as a Thanksgiving side. Top your dairy-free cheesecake with it.

Here’s to overcoming alpha-gal because we are more than conquerors in Christ and He is our healer!

Alpha-Gal Friendly Cranberry Sauce

Yield: 16 Servings

Total Time: 20 mins

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white sugar (substitute cane sugar)
  • 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries

Instructions:

  1. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan; add sugar and cook until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir cranberries into the saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer until cranberries have popped and sauce is chunky, about 10 minutes or longer for desired consistency. The longer you cook it, the less chunky it will be.
  3. Pour sauce into a serving dish or jars and cover until ready to use; the pectin in the cranberries will make the cranberry sauce gel as it cools.
  4. Mix cranberry sauce with a fork before serving.
