Walmart’s big Deals event is here, and y’all know I love a good deal. But I don’t love scrolling through thousands of products trying to figure out what’s actually worth buying.
So I’m doing the digging for you.
From October 5–11, I’ll go through Walmart’s Deals event and pull out some of my favorite finds for living with alpha-gal — kitchen gadgets, meal-prep helpers, household finds, travel essentials, and anything else that might make this crazy alpha-gal life a little easier.
And I’m not just throwing a bunch of links at you because something happens to be on sale. If it’s on this list, there’s a reason I think it could be useful.

Why I like it for Alpha-Gal: If shared grills make you nervous, having your own flat-top griddle can make outdoor cooking a whole lot easier. You control what gets cooked on it, what oils you use, and how you clean it—which can be especially helpful for people trying to avoid cross-contact with mammal products.

Why I like it for Alpha-Gal: One of y’all specifically asked me to watch for a powerful blender and food processor for making more foods from scratch, and I found one!

A label lesson for personal care: Watch for these ingredients that can come from mammals:
- Tallow, often listed as sodium tallowate
- Lanolin, which comes from sheep’s wool
- Collagen and keratin
- Glycerin, stearic acid, and glyceryl stearate, which can come from plant or animal sources
When it’s not clear, look for products labeled vegan, or reach out to the company and ask.
Travel & Eating Away From Home
Eating away from home is one of the hardest parts of alpha-gal. Restaurants, potlucks, tailgates, and road trips all come with questions. These finds help you bring your own safe options with you.
